WHO WE ARE

ASK - All Special Kids is a Geneva-based organization, aiming to support the families of children with special needs and learning differences. Our goal is to collect, disseminate information and share experiences relating to special needs issues in the region. Although the group focuses on assisting English-speaking parents, we welcome parents of different nationalities, seeking assistance or information on special needs and learning difficulties issues.

The network was founded in March of 2003 by a group of parents who were frustrated at the lack of Anglophone support services for children with special needs in the Geneva area and decided to do something about it. One of its first initiatives was to establish a website to provide information on schools, English-speaking specialists, and other local support groups in Geneva and the surrounding area, as well as web links to other useful special needs organizations and kids friendly educational websites.

The website serves as an excellent tool in keeping not only the Geneva community informed but also reaching English speaking parents from other parts of Switzerland and all over Europe as well. In May 2003, ASK began to offer monthly support meetings for parents and educational seminars, which are conducted in English and open to members and non-members alike.
