WHO WE ARE
ASK is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the families of children with special needs and learning differences. It was the lack of appropriate support services in the Geneva area to help Anglophone children with learning differences and their families that led to the creation of ASK in 2003. Unlike other groups working on a single type of profile or learning disorder, the ASK approach is an all encompassing umbrella, increasing the diversity of our target population, our knowledge base, the reach of our work, and the source of our strength. Since its establishment, ASK has served some 3000 families on a volunteer and/or fee for service bases.
ASK's vision is a society that fully understands, serves, and integrates individuals with learning differences and special needs and thus create an environment, where every person with special needs and learning differences can become a productive independent member of the society. ASK believes that creating and empowering a strong network of families, professionals, and institutions working together, across borders, cultural and language groups to better serve and advocate for the educational needs of all children brings about permanent change in our societies.
